Reader's Question
Hello, I'm a high school physics teacher. I used to use LaTeX to edit documents containing a large number of physics and math formulas, but they were never well organized. Now I'm thinking of using Notion to achieve this, and I'd like to create a physics knowledge base that I can share with my students for reading and reference. Can Notion handle this? Or is there a more suitable software for my needs?
My Answer
First of all, Notion fully supports this use case, and it's actually more suitable than most other products. Here's why:
- It supports KaTeX syntax, which is a large subset of LaTeX syntax, so physics and math formulas are fully supported. See the example below:

- Notion's public sharing is very convenient and completely free.
You just need to click the "Share" button in the top right corner to share the page with your students for reading. However, the only issue here is that you need to make sure your students can access Notion smoothly, as not everyone can open Notion pages — this might be the most difficult problem to solve.
- Notion's Database is perfectly suited for collecting and organizing various cases. The database offers rich views and filtering capabilities that can help you systematically manage your physics knowledge content.
