These functions can usually be replaced with operators:

add(1, 2)
1 + 2
subtract(prop("Budget"), prop("Expense"))
prop("Budget") - prop("Expense")

Tip: Use operators for simple formulas. Use functions when a nested formula needs a consistent style.
